Internal Management Review
A priority of the Board for the coming period will be the implementation of the results
of the Internal Management Review, called for by the 2019 General Assembly. Increased transparency, accountability, and responsible spending of the School’s funds,
coupled with efficient and effective budgets that don’t unnecessarily burden parents,
are guiding principles for the Board’s decision-making and are confirmed by the IMR
recommendations.
As you explore the content of this Annual Report, we hope you will share the pride
that we, the Board, feel from the achievements of our students in the educational
programme as well as in music, arts, and sports. The tightly-knit community at VIS
and the dedication of VIS staff make all of this possible. The Board thanks the staff
and students at VIS for their contribution to creating such a vibrant and stimulating
learning environment at the heart of the international community in Vienna.
