I found the DP programme challenging at times but overall a very
manageable and rewarding experience. One of the most important
lessons I learned was not to be influenced by online narratives portraying the DP as overwhelming,
as everyone’s experience is different. If you stay organised, keep on
top of deadlines, and approach the
programme with consistency, it becomes far more achievable to obtain
great results than people believe. I
would also strongly encourage future students to continue pursuing
their hobbies and passions alongside their studies, as maintaining
these interests can enhance focus
and motivation by supporting your
wellbeing during these two years.
Having the university counsellor guiding me through the whole
process made everything so much
easier. From helping me figure out
which university was the right fit to
making sure my applications were
submitted on time, their support
was really important. I’d definitely
encourage other students to make
the most of this journey and use the
guidance available to them.
